Nice to see these shoes in action! I've been interested in these as an option for hiking/backpacking. I take it you'll be doing an all-out review of these at some point, Damien? I'm wondering how they compare with the Neo Trail. When given the choice, I'd go with the lighter of the two shoes unless the more rugged upper was worth the extra ounces, and didn't inhibit flexibility. How do the two compare?
Well, for 3 season hiking/backpacking, my preference would be for the Neo Trail (which I will also be reviewing). It is more flexible and breathable. It still doesn't breathe as well as I would like, but I have high hopes for the Breatho Trail (a mesh version) which will be coming out next spring. The mid/high version of the Off Road will, however, probably make a good winter hiker if I can wear enough socks to stay warm :-)
